STAN WALDROP - COMMITTEE MEMBER
"The World War II Memorial is a wonderful tribute to a group of people who gave us an immeasurable gift, but it opened almost 60 years too late (after the end of the war). We cannot possibly thank these veterans enough. Our time to say "thank you" is running out. Honor Flight is a great effort to get as many of these heroes as possible to see the memorial built in their honor. To take one day to treat them like the national treasures that they are. I am deeply honor to be a part of this organization with this one, simple mission of taking our heroes to see their memorial."
EMILY MURPHY - COMMITTEE MEMBER EMERITUS
"Most of my career has been in public service, working with this generation. They are not only the Greatest Generation but also the most thankful, humble and hardworking. We cannot thank them enough for the freedoms we enjoy today. Every Honor flight trip for me is an emotional high as I watch our WWII veterans cry, laugh and receive the recognition they have waited so long for. "
