THANK YOU !!
We reached our goal of raising funds to purchase 75 wheelchairs for our Veterans. Our generous community helped ensure our Veterans will travel more safely and comfortably.
"My husband went on the honor flight on 4/21 as a Vietnam veteran. I can't tell you how much it meant to him." - Denise S
"And I think to myself, What a wonderful world." - Shamsher S
"Congratulations on your achievement!" - Gene M
"Thank you very much for thanking me for donating towards the wheelchair. My wife and I were guardians and know what it’s like to push someone in a wheelchair; the new ones will be much more easier to use. If I ever get to Washington again, I will still be walking, I hope." - Martin J
"Southeast Florida Honor Flight, Thank You for this endeavour." - Peter P
"You are quite welcome , I am so honored to help out to those who served and protected all of us! See you soon" - Lawrence O
"I was lucky enough to be selected for an honor flight just before Covid. My only regret is that my age at 75 disqualifies me from being an escort. Thank you for service to all of us." - James S
"You know I love our veterans and mission! Glad I could help! Good job on raising 103%!!" - Barbara W
If you know anything about Southeast Florida Honor Flight, you know that the safety and wellbeing of our veterans is our top priority – actually, it’s our only priority! Most of our veterans are in their eighties, and even the veterans who are very mobile are encouraged to make use of a wheelchair during the long and wonderful adventure that is an Honor Flight mission. We always pack enough wheelchairs for each and every veteran, plus a few spares – just in case. They are packed on and off flights, buses, and vans multiple times on each of the four annual Honor Flight missions, and when they’re in use, they get a lot of mileage with guardians trying to make sure every veteran gets to see as much of DC as possible in a short time. We do our best to keep them rolling as long as possible, but as you can imagine, they only last so long, and many of ours are in need of retirement.
Thank you – always, for supporting and honoring our veterans in so many ways. We truly are the land of the free – because of the brave! Thank you.
